'How I Met Your Mother' Enlists Katie Holmes

After Monday's premiere by which his ex-girlfriend Victoria (Ashley Williams) came back, another legendary love interest from his past will resurface. Katie Holmes has reserved a guest-starring role around the CBS sitcom as Slutty Pumpkin, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. As first reported by Vulture, Holmes will have the smoothness who first appeared throughout Mother's newcomer season: a lady Ted met and lost touch with following a Hallow's eve. Co-creator Craig Thomas told the website the role was "literally six seasons within the making" which he saved Holmes for "possibly probably the most classily named character within our show's history." Holmes' TV credits include Eli Stone and Dawson's Creek. Mother airs Mondays on CBS.
