How to record midi files on a Simmons SD5K?

Hi, i would like to start to add drum tracks to my songs, but i find
the sound bad when recording through the mic of my mac. I have noticed
that my drum set (simmons SD5K) has a midi output. How would i go
around to recording using midi?
